Founded in 2003, mLINQS is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB).  We provide the leading relocation management software for the federal government.  Thousands of government employees rely on mLINQS software to calculate and keep track all their relocation allowances. mLINQS is also a trusted advisor to agencies for their travel programs such as E-Gov Travel Service (ETS) and Defense Travel System (DTS).  Our advisors understand ETS and DTS, and have assisted the majority of federal agencies with their travel processes for more than a decade.

mLINQS fully supports the new Modernizing Government Technology Act signed into law on December 12, 2017. Under the law, agencies must "transition legacy information technology systems to cloud computing and other innovative platforms and technologies." mLINQS has a FedRAMP authorized cloud relocation system which will help agencies comply with this law immediately.

The federal government is engaged in a complete review of all regulations.  In this spirit and in accordance with Executive Order 13777, "Enforcing the Regulatory Reform Agenda," GSA is seeking input on the FTR that may be appropriate for repeal, replacement, or modification. GSA formally requested comments on May 30, 2017.

mLINQS applauds this approach and has submitted specific comments on how the FTR can be improved.  mLINQS comments can be summarized as follows:
- Eliminate lump sum programs for PCS
- Utilize a uniform information system to track relocations
- Consolidate relocation services among two shared service providers
- Closely monitor PCS pilot programs.

mLINQS also commends the Government Accountability Office (GAO) Report (here) which states that the Department of Defense (DoD) "needs more complete and consistent data to assess the costs and policies of relocating."  The report also concludes that permanent change of station (PCS) costs are rising within DoD; however, DoD does not have the information necessary to assess the causes and improve the PCS process. mLINQS system is a natural fit for DoD to improve their PCS data collection and analysis, just as our system has assisted many federal agencies over the past decade.

"With both of these actions - the call for regulatory reform and GAO Report - we see that the government is looking for new and better ways to relocate employees efficiently," says Greg McIntyre, President of mLINQS, LLC.  "Our relocation management solution is already providing customers with the necessary tools to meet this goal for both DoD and civilian agencies."
